nande' Nakai Hattingh
’m Nande Nakai Hattingh, a South African visual artist, intuitive explorer, and founder of Heartfelt Creative Agency. Currently completing my Master’s degree in Visual Arts through The Open Window School of Visual Communication, my creative practice and research centre on how immersive experiences in nature awaken flow states and intuitive, embodied ways of knowing.
Inspired by South Africa’s expansive landscapes its oceans, forests, and mountains. I engage in movement-based activities such as trail running, swimming, cycling, and dance as both spiritual and creative acts. These encounters with nature open me to divine guidance and inner vision. What emerges is a symbolic language of drawing, painting, and video that seeks to translate what is felt, seen, and sensed carrying the energy of the land and the unseen realms it reveals.

My work reflects an ongoing dialogue with Divine, with nature, and with the creative force that animates life itself. It invites others to slow down, to listen inwardly, and to reconnect with their intuitive intelligence and the sacred rhythms of the Earth. I believe art can become a bridge between inner and outer, seen and unseen, spirit and form. Alongside my personal practice, I am an illustrator, designer, and workshop facilitator, passionate about nurturing creativity in others. My journey through Open Window has equipped me with a diverse creative skill set grounded in both concept and craft. I remain committed to living and creating from the heart curious, prayerful, and always growing toward the “sweet spot” where purpose and creativity meet.
